This Privacy Policy explains how the Android app "Fake Text Message" (package com.riddle.faketextmessage, the "App") handles information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
Contacts, names, messages, photos and voice clips you create in the App are fictional content used to build simulated conversations. They are stored only locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. Uninstalling the App deletes them. The App does not read your real phone contacts, SMS or call log.
If you use the optional AI chat feature, the contact name you entered (which can be a phone number, if you typed one) and the text of the messages in that conversation are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. This data is used only to provide the reply and is not used by us for advertising. Do not include real personal information in AI conversations. If you send feedback from the "Send your opinion" screen, your rating, the text you write, the app version and your device model are stored in our Firebase database to improve the App.
The App uses the following services, which may collect information such as device identifiers, advertising ID, IP address, device model, OS version and usage events, according to their own policies:
Firebase stores an anonymous identifier and the AI credit balance linked to it. We do not ask for your real name, email address or phone number; the only personal data that may leave your device is what you choose to type in the AI chat or in a review, as described above.
Ads may be personalized based on your advertising ID. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), the App asks for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization, in your device's Google settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Local content stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data collected by third-party services is kept according to their policies. You may contact us to request access to or deletion of data associated with your anonymous identifier.
Purchase data stored on the device is encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
